What do machines do?

A can opener, a ladder, a pulley system, a come-along, a car.  What do machines help us to do in our daily lives?

    The wheel and axle are wat hold your car up and lets your car drive
    A pulley helps you pull something with less effort to do it
    A wedge helps you hold something back from moving
    A screw holds two things together and helps keep something on a wall or a surface without falling

    pulley-the thing that pulls up the curtain for the stage
    wedge-the thing that holds the door open

    car drives you somewhere
    ladder helps you climb then you fall off and you brreak somthing

    pulley pulls things.
    wedge wedges things
    wheel/axle rotates things and pulls
    incline plan is a diaganal thing
    screw is a thing that hold things in place.

    first class lever: lever in a tractor?

    third class lever:?
    wheel/axle:Cars/trucks
    pulley:A logger pulley that takes trees from point A to point B
    wedge:Door stopper
    inclined plane: A ramp into a horse trailer
    screw:screws that go into wood/metal

    third class lever:a computer controled
    wheel/axle=a car
    pulley=line goes over the wheel

    wedge= maul to split wood
    inclined plane=used to reduse fricion to go up so that u dont have to use stair
    screw= uses an inline to burry iteself into material making it eisiest to get it in
