Balanced vs. Unbalanced

Think about the world we live in. It's filled with forces, some balanced and some unbalanced.

Give me three examples of a balanced set of forces.

Give me three examples of an unbalanced set of forces?

This is what Newton's 3rd law is all about.

After you do the lab today, you will need to come back and do a second comment. Tell me what was important about today's lesson.

Text me if you have a question. Linsay and Jordan can help you find any equipment, but it all should be in the labeled drawers...I'll miss you guys today. :-)

3 balanced forces, would be a rock sitting on the ground, a mount on a desk, and me sitting in a chair.
3 unbalanced forces include, a rock rolling down a mountain, a chair giving into my weight, and a HEAVY ROCK GOING RIGHT THROUGH A THIN PEICE OF WOOD.
Newtons third law has somthing to do with motion and force.

1.table
2.chair

1.a person on one foot
2.a teeder-toder with one person on it

Balanced:do not cause a change in motion. They are equal in size and opposite in direction.

Unbalanced:always cause a change in motion

3rd Law:For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Gravity, constant speed and pull and maximum force for balanced and unbalanced would be change of motion, walking to running, sitting to standing.
