Why would anyone live in an area where an earthquake was possible? Explain your thoughts in two to three sentences. Then, go to here and look at the earthquake data. What surprises you the most?
because of the climate and the life style is more important to some people than the earthquakes. earthquakes that are big enough to cause very serious damage to a city/town are only every so often.
I think people would want to live int these areas because the weather is nice. I also think people would want to live in these areas because it is by the ocean. I didn't know there was earthquakes in Alaska!
most people have family that lives there or the just like the city because most places where earthquakes are possible is a big city like in California. most people daont no that many facts about earthquakes so they think it wont happen to them.
Everyone lives in a place where an earthquake is possible. If nobody lived where an earthquake was possible then nobody would be able to live anywhere.
They like the weather and there are jobs for them there. People may like the climate or the people or maybe it's where they grew up everyone has there own reasons to live there. A lot of newer buildings have now been built to resist earthquakes so it is still possible but less likely to sustain major damage in an earthquake.
because there is a warm climates in most places where it happens and very big citys like la and there is natural disasters every where so any where u go you will be affected by whether some how so pick eather earth quakes or huracaines or tornados
Alot of the areas where earthquakes occur are tropical, or at least near a ocean. Many people forget about the natural disasters that happen in Earthquake prone areas and only focus on the beauty of the place they live in, or are visiting. Also, family's have a life there! Most people wouldn't want to leave their home after disaster strikes.

I think people would want to live there because it is by the ocean. We are more equipped to deal with an earthquake now than we were years ago . It is safer now to live there because we have stronger, sturdier houses and know what to do if one were to hit.
