Why would anyone live in an area where an earthquake was possible? Explain your thoughts in two to three sentences. Then, go to here and look at the earthquake data. What surprises you the most?
because of the climate and the life style is more important to some people than the earthquakes. earthquakes that are big enough to cause very serious damage to a city/town are only every so often.
I think people would want to live int these areas because the weather is nice. I also think people would want to live in these areas because it is by the ocean. I didn't know there was earthquakes in Alaska!
most people have family that lives there or the just like the city because most places where earthquakes are possible is a big city like in California. most people daont no that many facts about earthquakes so they think it wont happen to them.
Everyone lives in a place where an earthquake is possible. If nobody lived where an earthquake was possible then nobody would be able to live anywhere.
They like the weather and there are jobs for them there. People may like the climate or the people or maybe it's where they grew up everyone has there own reasons to live there. A lot of newer buildings have now been built to resist earthquakes so it is still possible but less likely to sustain major damage in an earthquake.
because there is a warm climates in most places where it happens and very big citys like la and there is natural disasters every where so any where u go you will be affected by whether some how so pick eather earth quakes or huracaines or tornados
Alot of the areas where earthquakes occur are tropical, or at least near a ocean. Many people forget about the natural disasters that happen in Earthquake prone areas and only focus on the beauty of the place they live in, or are visiting. Also, family's have a life there! Most people wouldn't want to leave their home after disaster strikes.
Everyone lives in a area where an earthquake is possible, just maybe not to high extremes. People might want to live in a HIGH earthquake zone because of the other features that that area has to offer.
because they could study the area and take pictures of it. They may just like to be near one. Their family could be there. There may not be a lot of people there.
I think people would want to live there because it is by the ocean. We are more equipped to deal with an earthquake now than we were years ago . It is safer now to live there because we have stronger, sturdier houses and know what to do if one were to hit.
because they don't occur all the time, they only occur every so often..or there are good jobs there or the family has other family that live there. earthquakes don't happen all the time. or they went there for vacation
Some people may have grown up there so they wouldn't be as worried about it and are used to them. Other's may not have a choice as to where they can live.
Their job may have taken them there. Also they may be studying earthquakes or that location. They make like the city or there family may have taken them there.
Some people may have grown up there so they wouldn't be as worried about it and are used to them. Other's may not have a choice as to where they can live.

Because they love that spot and know people there. I am not certain because i have not personally asked them so i am making an uneducated guess.
Everyone lives in a place where an earthquake is possible. If nobody lived where an earthquake was possible then nobody would be able to live anywhere.
Where most most of the earthquakes are there pretty suburban areas. There mostly in big cities and people aren't going to move out of there homes.
Because allot of the places are nice and good for work.
maybe the person or people are geologists, and are studying that area. Or that person may just like the scenery.
Most of the places that have earthquakes also have heavily populated cities. The cities are also places where there are many industries.

becouse in some places its hot and in other its cold. the second reason is there are big cities were the earthquakes take place
They probably liked it there. Because they're near the ocean and it's probably really pretty there.
Because people like living by the coast. Maybe they know people there.
Maybe because most of that places have lots of excellent job opportunities which is why many people want to live there..

they can only afford to live there or have family that live there. or maybe they are just used to the climate
because maybe they have family in the area. or they took a job there that pays well and has good hours. or maybe they just like the weather.
cause it is ok but there well be som e earthquae
They would live there because they like the things in that town. They also might live there cause there family lives there.
Because that is where they grew up and or have family. Or maybe they like the temp and the climate! Or there job could take them there.

Because they like the location. Friends and family live there.
because they might have family there or took a job to study them. and eathrquakes don't happen all the time.
They may not worry about it. Also, the area may not have them very often. They just may not care, either.
Maybe they just like the area and its weather. Or the area might be important to them because of family or job reasons.
because there are a lot of nice places to work there. Or maybe they have family members that live there.
and it might not be to hot or to cold.
people might want to live near the ocean. or work might take them there.

They may not care. Also, the area may have very few earthquakes. They may not worry about them happening.
They might like the area or that was there birth place
I think its because they like the climate that is there. Also it could be where they have to be for a job or something.
they could have grow up there and dont want to leave
They might want to live there because the weather is warm and there is lots of water.
because they might have family that lives there. They might also like the climate there
