Puppet Show reflection

  • Tell me WHY the shadows are the shape they are in your video clip.

  • Explain how you got colored shadows, where there is an umbra, and where there is a penumbra.

  • Why did you choose to have the shadows be the size they are, and how could you have made them bigger?

  • How did the colors you used set the mood for the music you will use?

  • How could the shadow show be modified to make the shadows as small as possible?

Our shadows are the shape they are because it goes with the lyrics of the song. Like bells for Jingle bells and a sleigh and a horse head for one horsed open sleigh.

We got colored shadows by using colored light bulbs. The Umbra is the dark spot in the middle of the two shadows and the penumbra is the light shadows of the red and the blue.

We chose to have the shadows the size they are because its easy to see and yet it isn't blurry. We could have made them bigger by holding the puppets closer to the light bulbs instead of the screen.

The colors we used (red and blue) help provide a Christmas like feel. The blue and red mixed made a greenish color thus having Christmas colors of red and green.

We could have made the puppets closer to the screen giving us smaller shadows. We could also make our puppets smaller by cutting them more.

the shadows are used for characters. the umbra was the colored lights and the penumbra was the shadows. we chose the shadows to be that size because they are easy to hand and we could of cut and drew the bigger to make them larger. it is Christmas colors and our theme is chrisms.to make the shadows smaller we could cut the characters to be smaller.

We used a girl for Mary, two random guys, and a lamb... Mary had a little lamb... yeah...

By using two differant colored lights, we got colored shadows. The Umbra is the part of a shadow with no light. The Penumbra has part light, part dark.

We used the size as it was to make the shadows clear and visible. We used blue for a cheery feel, and the red for when the guy stole the lamb.

The closer to the screen the puppet is, the clearer and smaller it is. The closer to the light, the more blurry and bigger it is.

the city was big because it was close to the light and the people were small because they were far away from the light.i used blue and red lights to get red shadows. the buildings were a penumbra and the people were an umbra. because the building should be in proportion to the people. but we could have made it all bigger if we would have moved the puppets closer to the light. thre colors were dark to creat the scary mood of a mugging. make the pupets smaller or closer to the wall.
