Who controls what?

So, there's yellow light ahead. You have jackrabbit drivers, overly cautious drivers, tired drivers, and poor brakes. You have single roads, double lanes, and overpasses...

What things can engineers control as they design the intersection? What things can you control?

They could maybe have more traffic lanes to make it so they are all spread out. Or less lights and slower speeds. You can control the way your car works. Like if your brakes are bad? Fix them. Don't follow people so closely.

I think that your brakes can go out and you will run a red light and get hit and will get heart real bad.

The engineers control the length of the red, yellow, and green lights. what u can control is ur speed, driving habits and ur reaction to certain things.

After the one light turns yellow then red wait like 10 secs before they turn the other light green.
You can help the situation by being cautious drivers.

engineers-
-width
-speed limit
-passing/no passing lanes

you-
-speed
-slowing down
-stopping
-how close you pay attention

they can control the lights on how they change to caution poeple with the bad breaks and their crazy drivers.
i can control it by staying as far away as possible from them people that drive like that

they can make the intersection wider, they could put more lanes where the intersection is. i could check my brakes and see if i need them to be repaired, dont be over cautious when driving, dont be switching lanes every minute, and make sure i get plenty of sleep.

Engineers: the roads and overpasses. they can control how long the yellow is on, too.

We can control how we drive to be safe.

engineers can control how the window reflects light. we can control the way the mirrors reflect light in our eyes

engineers control everything because they made the road like how wide the lane is, where the stop lights are at, how long the stop lights stay on each color, etc. we can't really control that much just how we drive, like how fast we react, that sort of stuff.

Some things that engineers could design would be have more flashing signs on the highway so that you would notice them. Also maybe have bumpers between each lane so you don't swerve into the lane beside you.

You Should control your speed, look ahead, check to make sure brakes and steering wheel works properly.

--They contorl how may lanes --like fast ones or slow lanes you know passing lanes or just a lane.
width-
when exits are-
what we can control-- when we get off and on highways, how fast we go,what lanes youre in, how far you look ahead,hw alret you are, or how concentrated you are.

THey can make it as easy to turn safly on as possible, such as keeping the road somwat straight, or to make it so that the curve has enough width to turn on without going off.
Wat you can do , would be to drive according to your reaction time, slowly if needed, and to not have any distractions like drinking or cell phones while driving.

they could have more traffic lights more stop signs more road signals ands what not to help control accidents and i can watch carefully when someone isn't driving the speed limit or is just doing a poor job...

they can make the yellow lights longer for the jack rabbit drivers...or they could make the time between the red light on side and the green light on the other side...make that time inbetween longer(so there are like 2 sec. longer where it is just red lights)...if a car goes through a red it wont b that big of a deal...you can control that if you see a yellow light then you slow down..dont just plan to go through it....you could run a red light if you do this...and then when you get to the light if you can make it in time going at that same speed then go through...if not then just stop...you will already be going slow so it wont matter

They can design the road to make it safer to reduce accidents. The yellow light is important for people with poor brakes.
People can stay calm when they drive.Others can drink coffee or a energy drink or not drive at all if they are tired.

Engineers can control how the light can turn the time it takes to turn from red to green. So if they make it stay green for longer time the traffic will flow easier. If you are careful and alert of everyone around you it can be a safer and more steady flow of traffic.

you should not run the yellow light beacuse u can get a tickit four runing a light if it change from yellow to red and u still keep going.
